Janetta Kay Butler, age 82, of Cave City, Arkansas, passed away on January 1, 2026, leaving behind a legacy filled with love, devotion, and unwavering faith. Born in Paragould, Arkansas, on September 16, 1943, Janetta's journey through life was one marked by joy and service.
A proud graduate of Brookland High School in 1961, Janetta distinguished herself with her intelligence, kindness, and an early display of a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Janetta was not just a familiar face in the local community but a driving force in the business world as well, with the establishment of Janetta's Draper Shop in Jonesboro.
Janetta was member of the Village Creek Church of Christ. Complementing her spiritual life, Janetta's love for her community was shown through her active involvement in the EHC club in Goobertown.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Erma McLaughlin; and her loving husband, James Nelson Butler.
Janetta is survived by her son, Jamie Butler (Jackie) of Brookland, AR; daughter, Dawn Butler (Danny Arnold) of Ashflat, AR; sisters, Judy Clayton and June Rushing; and grandchildren, Christopher Butler and Justin Butler.
In lieu of formal services, there will be a gathering of friends and family on Sunday, January 4th, from 2:00-4:00 pm at The Wessell Building in Paragould, Arkansas
