Janice F. George McLain, age 73, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 2, 2025, in her home in Paragould, AR. She was born April 18, 1952, in Paragould, to Jiles Lavelle and Dorothy Mae (Edgar) George. She was a 1970 graduate of Greene County Technical High School. She married Bobby L. McLain on May 24, 1974. She was the owner of Dorothy's Fabrics where she shined displaying her wonderful knack for business management and love for sewing. Janice truly lived life to the fullest through her amazing talent of singing and playing piano, organ, guitar, and accordion among other instruments. She loved the simple pleasures of chatting and laughing with friends and family, growing flowers in her yard, and decorating her home. Janice had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way leaving each person she met with a sense of happiness and belonging.

She is survived by her daughter, Laura (Matt) McLain Newberry; grandson, Kameron (Callie) Newberry; sister, Shirley (Steve) Mitchell; sister, Wanda George; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Janice touched are invited to Phillips Funeral Home, 4904 West Kingshighway, Paragould, from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, to reminisce, grieve, support each other and, of course, to laugh.
