Janice Carol (Steele) Smith - October 28, 2012 Janice Carol (Steele)l Smith, 67 of Paragould passed away on October 28, 2012 at 6:45 P.M. at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center. She was born on January 26, 1945 to the late William and Letha Steele. Janice was a member of the Paragould Christian Church and loved the fellowship at the church functions. She also enjoyed music, and attending both her children's and grand-children's ball games. Janice was employed at Monroe for over thirty years.Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Bill Steele; one sister, Becky Boutwell; one daughter-in-law, Kim Smith; one sister-in-law, Shirley Smith; two brothers-in-law, Junior Smith; Maurice Barr; mother and father-in-law, M.A. and Edith Smith.Survivors include her husband, David Smith; two sons, Keith and Kent Smith; daughter and son-in-law, Kristi and Scott Cole; five grand-children, Kourtney Lloyd, Kobi Smith, Sean Smith, Kiana Cole, Gage Cole; brothers and sisters-in-law and spouses; ten Nieces; eleven Nephews; The family will receive guests on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday in the Center Hill Chapel with Duane Dutka officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens. Serving as Pallbearers will be Kenny Smith, Kelly Smith, Kerry Don Smith, Ronnie Barr, Darrell Wayne Smith, and Steve Baldwin. Honorary Pallbearers will include Phil Gordon and Carroll Laird. Lasting Memorials can be made in her honor to the Paragould Christian Church.
