It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Helen Jean Mitchell, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Jean was born on September 1, 1958, in Blytheville, Arkansas, and passed away on September 12, 2023, in Paragould, Arkansas

Jean was known for her straight-talking approach to life and never held back her opinions. She was always willing to speak her mind and tell it like it is, no matter the situation.

For many years, Jean was a dedicated employee at Ironhorse BBQ. She will be remembered for her work at Ironhorse BBQ, where she was known for her friendly demeanor, hard work, and dedication that was admired by her colleagues and customers alike.

Jean leaves behind a legacy of fearless honesty, kindness, and love for all creatures great and small. Her presence in our community will be deeply missed, but her lasting impact will never be forgotten.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Lois Pipkin.

Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Greg Mitchell; son and daughter-in-law, Dave, Jr. and Shana Dachs; daughter and son-in-law, Jeannette and Daniel Olson; sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon Pillow, Charlotte and Raymond Imler, Donna Stowe, Jackie and Larry Tritch, Rhonda and Tony Wells; and grandchildren, Emily, Marcus, Alex, Evelyn, Daniel, and Savannah.

A visitation on Friday, September 15, 2023, from 6:00 pm until 7:00 p.m. and a ceremony starting at 7:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home for Jean will be held by her family to celebrate her life and say their final goodbyes to this wonderful woman who brought so much joy to our world.

Rest in peace, Jean. You will be deeply missed, but your unwavering spirit will continue to inspire us all.
