Jerry Wayne Cossey, 72, of Rector, passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021. He was born April 29, 1949, to Bobby and Grace Cossey. Jerry was a National Guard Veteran of the Vietnam era. He was a wonderful, loving father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Beverly Easton.

Survivors include his children, Jamie Taylor (Robert), Kobie Turner (Jerry), Jeremy Cossey, Kory Cossey (Becky); sisters, Sandy Varvil (Tony), Kim Bradford (Michael); grandchildren, Tyler Pitts, Kennedy Pitts, Jennifer Livingston, Trevor Hill, Sawyer Turner, Kaylie Cossey, Krystal Cossey, Jonathan Cossey, Khristian Cossey, Abby Cossey; and six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 6, from 1:00 p.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home.  The memorial service will begin at 3:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Randal Doda officiating.  Burial will follow at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector.
