Jerry Stephen Grooms, 59, of Paragould, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2021. He was born February 17, 1962, to Robert and Ruth Grooms. Jerry was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed collecting guns and tractors.

Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Bud Grooms; brother, Gary Grooms; nephew, Joey Stevens; niece, Tiffany Paige Barrow; maternal grandparents, Bill and Francis Breckenridge; and paternal grandparents, Jessie and Lena Grooms.

Survivors include his mother, Ruth Breckenridge Grooms; daughter, Ashley Hudson; grandchildren, Sky March and Zachary March; siblings, Ann Grooms of Paragould, Doug Grooms of Walnut Ridge, Ralph (Reba) Grooms of Hoxie, Keith (Lois) Grooms of Corning, J. W. (Pam) Grooms of Lake City, Rick (Lisa) Grooms of Oak Grove, Lavada (Buddy) Pitcher of Oak Grove, and Paulette Walley of Corning.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 22, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, February 23, at 10:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Ron Langston officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.

Brandon Bailey, Anthony Grooms, Cody Pitcher, J.W. Grooms, Jody Pitcher, and Drew Rainwater will serve as pallbearers. Doug Grooms and Keith Grooms will serve as honorary pallbearers.
