Jerry Dean McMillian, aged 85, of Paragould, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2024, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Born on September 30, 1938, in DeWitt, Arkansas, Jerry was a man whose presence was characterized by his kind-hearted nature and diligent spirit. As an attendee of the DeWitt Tabernacle, Jerry's faith was a cornerstone of his existence. An avid lover of the outdoors, Jerry found solace and pleasure in yard work. Jerry's legacy is one of hard work, dedication to his faith, and the simple pleasures of life.
Jerry's love for his furry companion, Little Bit, was evident to all who knew him. His face would light up with joy at the sight of his beloved dog, and their bond was a testament to his capacity for love and companionship.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Bennett and Madge McMillian; son, Jerry McMillian, Jr.; and daughter-in-law, Linda McMillian.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy McMillian; son, Benny (Gayla) McMillian; step-daughter, Carrie (Jackie) Cooper; grandchildren, John, Bart (Kim) Sollars, Slade (Sara) Sollars, Josh Templeton, and Ethan Worsham; and six great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home at Greene County Memorial Gardens.
