Jewel Evelyn Thomas, 87, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022. She was born July 15, 1934, to Joseph and Evelyn Glisson. Jewel was an animal lover that raised chickens and she enjoyed gardening and yard work.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sammy Steve Thomas; daughter, Joyce Brewer; son, Robin Lynn Thomas; son-in-law, Roger Eason; grandchildren, John Fredrick Leach, Shelly Ann Leach; and several siblings.
Survivors include her sons, John Thomas (Shirley), Freddie Thomas (Jackie); daughter, Evelyn Eason; eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home will be held on Monday, April 18, at 10:00 a.m. at Spotts Cemetery.
