IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jimmie
Dickerson
January 8, 1935 – September 7, 2025
Jimmie Dickerson, a dedicated family man, passionate tinkerer, and lifelong supporter of the St. Louis Cardinals, passed away on September 7, 2025. He was born into a loving family on January 8, 1935.
Jimmie's early years were marked by a budding interest in the intricacies of machinery and a talent for taking things apart and putting them back together. Cars, especially, held a special place in his heart, and he devoted countless hours to restoring and maintaining classic models, an interest that would become a lifelong passion.
A vocal and proud fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Jimmie never missed a game, and his support for the team was unwavering, whether they were on a winning streak or facing the challenges of a tough season.
But above all, Jimmie's greatest pride and joy were his grandchildren. He relished every moment he spent with them and would often be heard sharing stories of their achievements with anyone who'd listen.
Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, Oral and Lillie Dickerson; sister, Floretta Howard; and brothers, Eddie Dickerson and Danny Dickerson.
Survivors include his wife of 47½ years, Kathryn Dickerson; son, James Dickerson (Chris); daughter, Linda Edman (Kenneth); brother, Larry Dickerson (Karen); sister, Shirley Meadows; sister-in-law, Sandra Dickerson; grandchildren, Danielle Farmer (Bradley), Josh Dickerson; and great-grandchildren, Makayla Farmer and Brooklynn Farmer.
