Jimmy Lee Eason, a skilled farmer whose life was deeply rooted in the Lorado area, passed away on April 12, 2026, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Born on February 18, 1955, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, Jimmy dedicated his lifetime to agriculture, bringing intelligence and unwavering commitment to his work on the land. His contributions to farming were not only a vocation but a testament to a life well lived in harmony with nature.
Jimmy’s personality was marked by intelligence and a zest for life that extended beyond his career. Among his many interests, he was an accomplished guitar player and singer, often sharing his love for music with those around him. He was also an avid pool player and skeet shooter, demonstrating skill and passion in his hobbies. His love for the outdoors led him to enjoy frequent trips to the lake where he delighted in water skiing. Equally cherished were moments spent riding horses alongside his beloved wife, Stacey.
His family was central to Jimmy’s life. He was a devoted husband of 26 years to Stacey Eason, who stood by his side through all of life’s seasons. Jimmy is also survived by his son, Shane Eason; mother of Shane’s children, Andrea Eason; and his step-son, Tyler Panhorst, along with Tyler’s wife Jessica. His brother Carlos Eason, and sister-in-law Mary Ann also remain a loving presence in his family circle. Grandchildren brought additional joy to Jimmy’s life, including Reagan and Charlotte Ann Eason, Cotton Teague, Cooper Teague, Addie Panhorst, and Lily Burleson. Jimmy is also survived by his loving nieces, Anna DeAngelo (Trevor), Sarah Hartwig (Caleb), Misti Lira, and Melanie Cook (Kyle).
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Junior and Pearlie Mae Eason, who no doubt shaped the values and strength that he carried throughout his life.
A visitation to honor and remember Jimmy Lee Eason will be held on April 14, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., followed immediately by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lorado Cemetery.
Anthony Ray, Tony Faulkner, David Klingensmith, Elbert Bradford, Caleb Hartwig, and Trevor DeAngelo will serve as pallbearers.
