Jimmy Lee Wilcox, 77, beloved husband, father, papa, brother, uncle, and friend passed away at St. Bernard's Medical Center on February 2, 2022.

Jim was born on November 2, 1944, in Modesto California to Alma "Louise" (Walker) Wilcox and Orval Lee Wilcox.  He married his wife of 59 years Iva Jewel (Morgan) Wilcox on October 26, 1962.  Jim was retired from Darling Store Fixtures in Paragould where he worked for over 3 decades.

Jim and Iva have two sons, Tony Wilcox (Kristy), and Todd Wilcox both of Paragould; four grandsons, Blake Wilcox (Sarabeth) of Jonesboro, Dylan Spann (Alissa), Ryan Brekeen, and Peyton Brekeen all of Maumelle; and a great granddaughter, Lila Grace Wilcox of Jonesboro.  Jim is also survived by his brothers, Jack Wilcox (Betty) of Paragould, and Cary Wilcox (Sonya) of Paragould, along with numerous nieces and nephews across many states.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Joyce Floyd, and Bill Wilcox.

Family and food were two of the tenants that he held most dear.  Always enough room for company and always plenty to eat.  Jim loved to be outdoors and prided himself on maintaining an immaculate yard.  He was a hard worker and believed in giving it your all.  In recent years, he could be found at the Paragould Community Center each morning at the crack of dawn to walk with his friends and get his 2-3 miles in.  He will be missed by all that knew him, but he held in his heart that we would all meet again some day in the house of the Lord.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 8, from 6 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 9, at Phillips Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.
