John Contos, 65, passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018. He was born March 25, 1953, in Joliet, IL. John served in the United States Marine Corps.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Margaret Contos; and sister, Marlo Contos.

Survivors include his daughter, Heather James; stepdaughter, Angela Patz; brothers, Anthony, Larry, Peter, and William Contos; sisters, Louise McLaren, Margaret Madonis, and Jean Gurnitz; grandchildren, Emmalee James, Ava James; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends for a committal service on Thursday, June 7, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
