John Francis Gonsalves, Jr., 87, of Paragould, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023. He was born on March 16, 1936, to John and Pamela Gonsalves. John was an 8-year Air Force Veteran who served in the Korean War.  Originally from the Northeast area, John was a supervisor at a government agency that made footwear for the handicapped.   He was an orthotist and prosthetist and his career was very important to him.  Later in life, John enjoyed his time spent at the Sr. Bee's.  Traveling was a favorite past time of John's.
John was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Gonsalves; children, Lori Brady (Scott) of Millbury, MA, Lisa Clemente (Emmett) of Northbridge, MA, Pamela Jean Gonsalves of MA, John R. Gonsalves (Judith) of Avon, CT, Greg Cole (Stacy) of Chipley, FL, Lisa Hathcoat (Daniel) of Jonesboro, AR, Jason Cole (Lorie); sister, Pamela Corning; grandchildren, Tamara Brady, Scott John Brady, Todd Allen Miller, Madison Rose Schiltz, Olivia, Emma, and John C. Gonsalves, Brandon Cole (Sylvia), Brandi Kidd (Robbie), Ashlynn Kilgo, Caleb Kilgo, Britney Dalton (T. J.), Amanda Clairday (Matt), Joshua Fortier, Chelsey Fernandes, Danielle Toupin, KiLee Fortier, Sara Clemente, Bailey Cole, and Lily Clemente; several great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 7, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, August 8, at 10:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Herndon Cemetery, Highway 141 North, Jonesboro, Arkansas.
