John E. Purcell, 83, of Paragould, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020. He was born July 6, 1937, to John and Anna Purcell. John worked in law enforcement for over 34 years. He was an Arkansas State Trooper for 26 and a half years. Above all, John loved his family.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Barbara Purcell; son and daughter in law, Harrell and Zhaoxiu Tan Purcell; daughters, Carol Purcell, Naomi Purcell and fiancé, Corey Straub; brother and sister in law, Don and Sherri Purcell; grandchildren, Sarah Purcell, Zack Purcell, and Yi Wei; and great-granddaughter, Desiree Wynn.
A graveside service under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home will be held on Wednesday, December 30, at 11:00 A.M. at Greene County Memorial Gardens with David Stallings officiating.
