Johnnie Virginia Wood, 76, of Paragould, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2020.  She was born April 8, 1944, in Osceola, Arkansas, to Johnny and Mary Childress.  Johnny was very religious and of the Baptist faith.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Johnnie was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Betty Johnson, Johnny Childress, Jr., and Jimmy Childress.

Survivors include her husband, Loyd Wood; son, Teddy Nix, Jr. of South Carolina; daughter, Spring Holt of Paragould; step son, Ronnie Wood; sister, Sandra Wicker; and grandchildren, Tristin Holt and Garrett Wood.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 15, from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home.  A procession will leave Phillips Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. for a graveside service at Finch Cemetery with Marty Ezell officiating.
