Juanita E. Cain, 85, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018. She was born June 27, 1932, in Jonesboro. Juanita was raised by J. B. and Pearl Carter. Juanita was an excellent cook. When you visited, the first thing she asked was, "Can I get you something to eat?" She loved going bowling and playing bingo. Juanita made ceramics and loved to knit in her spare time.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, P.D. Cain; and son, Stephen Wayne Cain.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Inez and Jim Murray; half-brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Kathy Gage; half-sisters and brother-in-law, Janie and Jim McMurtry, and Mary Carmickly; 3 grandchildren, Geoffrey Rowe, Eli Murray, and Elana Tate; and 5 great-grandchildren, Tristan and Tori Rowe, Isla Tate, Oliver Tate, and Asa Murray.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, from 1 p.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pine Knot Cemetery.
