Judy Ann Ficek, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on June 12, 2023, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Born on May 30, 1954, in Flint, Michigan, Judy was the daughter of the late Marcus and Dorothy Hamilton, and sister to the late Paula Hamilton. She lived a life filled with love, kindness, and generosity, touching the lives of everyone she met.

Judy is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Russell Ficek, with whom she shared a life filled with love and adventure. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Stefani (Barry) Barron and Greg (Molly) Ficek. Judy's love for her family knew no bounds, and she was proud of the strong family unit they built together.

As a grandmother to Cora, Saoirse, Liam, and Mason Barron, Luke and Ava Stone, and Logan Ficek, Judy's love only grew stronger. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren, whether it was sharing stories, playing games, or simply watching them grow. Judy's love for her family was the driving force behind everything she did, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Not only was Judy a loving and caring family member, but she was also a generous and selfless friend. Always thinking of others before herself, Judy's kindness and compassion were evident in every aspect of her life.

Judy's love for life extended beyond her family and friends, as she enjoyed traveling and going for a drive to explore new places. She found joy in the beauty of the world around her and shared that joy with everyone she encountered. Her adventurous spirit and zest for life were infectious, and she leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories.

A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 17, at Phillips Funeral Home.
