Julie Kathleen Sessums Abbott, 59, departed from this life on Friday, November 24, 2023. She was born April 21, 1964. Julie loved spoiling her kids and was a mom to many kids while she was younger. She had many special friends and loved playing cards.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leslie Frank Abbott; mother, Ruby Abbott Smith; maternal grandparents, Darrell and Lucy Morrow; paternal grandparents, James and Dora Mae Abbott; and stepsister, Christy Smith.

Survivors include her son, Braiden Allen Sessums; sisters, Lisa Glover (Randal), Dena Messer (John), Linda Bailey (Brandon), Leslie Laws (Tonya); stepfather, Jerry "Paw Paw" Smith; stepsister, Tammy Smith; stepbrothers, Jarrod Smith, Jerry Ray Smith; nephews, Frankie Traywick, John D. Messer, Andrew Carter, Chris Frost, Yancey Bailey, Will Bailey, Riley Messer; nieces, Amanda Walker, Ashley Capps, Shea Owens, Alix Watson, Stormie Henson, Justice Hendrix; and a host of very special cousins, aunts, uncles, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

A memorial service and potluck will be held on Friday, December 8, from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Christian Care Center in Paragould, 4908 Walcott Road.
