Karen Rae Gutierrez, 67, of Paragould passed away August 17, 2012. She was born September 24, 1944 in Monroe, WI to Samuel and Thelma Ashman. She was a member of the Church of Paragould and loved to play bingo.Preceding her in death were her parents; one brother, Dean Ashman; one sister, Vivian Shewmaker; daughter, Margaret Grooms; and one grandson, Joshua Grooms.She is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Stairs of Rockford, IL, and Sharon Cole of Paragould; two brothers, Mervin Ashman of IL and Rick Ashman of WA; two sisters, Linda McGee of AZ and Jean Glassgow of WI; eight grandchildren, Joseph, Michael, Becky, Cheryl, Hannah, Sestina, Shala, and Dana; and one great grandchild.Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 20, 2012 at Beech Grove Cemetery with Bill Bass officiating. Visitation will be 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Monday at Phillips Funeral Home.
