Kimberly Ann Gibson ( better known as Umma) was born on June 1, 1965, in New Praque, Minnesota, to Joan and Gerald Martin. Kim passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on May 3, 2025, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, Arkansas.

Kim has lived in many states, including Minnesota, Wisconsin, California, Texas, and Arkansas. Kim met the love of her life in 1992 while dispatching for Unique Transportation in Texas. Kim and Earl eventually got married in 1993. Kim loved to play challenging games with her friends and family. She loved to go fishing and swimming. She loved the simple pleasures of chatting and laughing with everyone; she was the best story teller. Kim loved to help others as much as she could. She strongly believed that we all put our pants on one leg at a time. The adoption of her three sons meant the absolute world to her, she spent most of her days chasing them around.

She was survived by her husband, Earl Gibson, her siblings, Judy (Bob) Heil, Larry Meyer (Teresa Holt), her loving children, April Wheeler, Sarah (Tony) Burd, Logan (Roxy) Wheeler, Blake Wheeler (Lilly Houle), and her baby Bryson Wheeler, her grandchildren Clayton Wheeler, Jake Wheeler, Sofia Burd, Kyler Burd, Colton Burd, Loretta Burd, and Walker Burd, her best friend Bert Wilkey along with her many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded by her father and mother, her step-father Carvel Meyer along her siblings Jean Marie Meyer, Kurtis Meyer, and Karen Fuller.

We're gathering at Unity Baptist Church at 10am on Friday May 9th to celebrate the life of the wonderful woman, Kimberly (Umma).

We will be there to say to Kim "see you later, not goodbye". We all knew Umma as a loving, brilliant, unique, determined woman. She was the light in all of our lives. Thank you to everyone that shared her love and generosity.
