Kittie Mae Elmore, born July 8, 1944, passed away on September 21, 2026.

Kittie will be remembered for the warmth she brought to those around her and for the simple, meaningful joys that shaped her life. She loved tending her flower garden and her garden, enjoyed talking on the phone, took pleasure in playing cards, and was known for fixing large meals for her family. She was always a gracious host, welcoming others with generosity and care.

She is survived by her husband, Wesley Elmore; her son, Don Farmer (Karrie); her daughter, Kittie “Kathy” Nicley (Charles); and her sister, Bonnie Wright (Dewayne). She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Derek Davidson (Stephanie), Dustin Davidson, Emma Campbell (Nick), Emmie Cavaness, and Clay Farmer, as well as her great-grandchild, Laken Davidson. Their lives carry forward the love, hospitality, and family devotion that meant so much to her.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Zade and Lora McCoy; her sisters, Christene Ellington and Wava Jean Cook; and her brothers, Melton McCoy and Bill McCoy.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 26, 2026, at Phillips Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. The service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Kim Bridges officiating. Burial will follow at New Friendship Cemetery.

Rick Wright, Perry Wright, Fletcher Wright, Tristen Wright, Derek Davidson, Nick Campbell, and Clay Farmer will serve as pallbearers.

Larry Elmore, Ed Sessums, and Dewayne Wright will serve as honorary pallbearers.
