With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life so abundantly lived, we announce the passing of Laura Ann (Walker) Bryant, who departed this world on June 20, 2026, in Light, Arkansas. Born on February 8, 1944, in Light, Arkansas, Laura’s journey unfolded gently across the years, touching all who knew her with warmth, strength, and unwavering devotion.
Laura found great purpose in the role of homemaker, where her dedication and diligence shone in every corner of her home. Alongside her beloved husband, Jim, she cultivated a robust, thriving garden each year. Their partnership transcended mere daily chores; together, they raised horses, investing care and attention into every moment spent with the animals they cherished.
But Laura’s talents reached far beyond her gardens and pastures. She possessed skilled hands and a creative soul, finding artistry in the craft of upholstery. Together with her sister, Virginia Bryant, Laura embarked on a shared venture, giving new life to treasured furnishings. Their business was more than just a livelihood; it was a bond between sisters.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Y.C. and Mary Walker, and her brother, Charles Walker.
Survivors include her loving husband of almost 62 years, Jim Bryant; sisters, Virginia Bryant (Donald Ray) and Audrey Kay Ford; nieces and nephews, Y.C., B.C. (Linda), Michael, Jerry, Brandon, Gavin, Brittany, Courtney, Becky, Remington, and Lily; along with many extend family members and dear friends.
Family and friends are invited to honor Laura’s memory at Phillips Funeral Home, with a visitation that will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., followed immediately by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Mountain Home Cemetery.
