Laura Ann Walker, 88, of Paragould, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2025. She was born March 19, 1937, to James and Elizabeth Slatton. Laura enjoyed embroidering and working in her garden. She loved gardening and canning in her spare time. She served her church, Pruett Chapel Freewill Baptist, as secretary for many years.

Laura was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marion Walker; brothers, J.D. Slatton, Walter Slatton, Roy Slatton, Ray Slatton, Alton Slatton, Ottis Slatton; and sister, Grace Brown.

Survivors include her son, James Walker (LaDonna); grandchildren, Emily Walker, Aaron Snapp, Ariel Snapp, Destiny Snapp; great-grandchildren, Kaden, Desmond, and Sylas; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 15, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. A graveside service under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home will be on Tuesday, September 16, at 10:00 a.m. at Finch Cemetery with Don Slatton officiating.
