LaWanda Kaye Hooten - August 1, 2012 LaWanda Kaye Hooten, 61 of Paragould, passed away August 1, 2012. She was born November 11, 1950 in Newport to the late Virgil and Olene Hartsell. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Jonesboro and worked 18 years for Darling in Paragould. Her hobbies included playing music, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren.Mrs. Hooten was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Larry Hartsell; two sisters, Lola Morgan and Laverne Warren.LaWanda is survived by her husband of 44 years, Larry Hooten; son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Krystal Hooten; two daughters, Brandi and Chassity Hooten, all of Paragould; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lavon and Jim Pierce of Corning and Loretta and Bobby Hardin of Neelyville, MO; three grandchildren, Max , Sam, and Braxton Hooten; one aunt, Anga Henderson of Tuckerman.Mrs. Hooten's funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012 at Phillips Funeral Home with Priest Mark Abban and Minister Tim Burgess officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive guests Friday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home.Pallbearers will include Jim Pierce, Bobby Hardin, Fordy Hooten, Charles Partlow, Robert Hovis, and James Cossey. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mark Woodruff, Don Hutchinson, Wayne Carr, Clinton Eudy, and Steve Floyd.Lasting Memorials can be made to the Phil and Flo Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
