Leah Michelle " Mitzi" Gramling left this world surrounded by her family on Friday, December 9, 2022, at the age of 60.  She was born October 11, 1962, in Paragould, to Alan and Rita Carter.  Mitzi and husband, Troy, were united in marriage on October 1, 1981, and shared 41 years together.  She graduated Crowley's Ridge College with an AA degree, then ASU with a BSE degree.  She was a lifelong painter, retiring in 2019.  Mitzi's greatest joy was her children and grandchildren and being a mom and grandmother to them.  She enjoyed camping, fishing, and most of all spending time with her family on the beach.

Mitzi was preceded in death by her grandparents, Hayden and Nora Carter, Amos and Sylvia Harvill; and aunt, Gay Carter.

Survivors include her husband, Troy Gramling; parents, Alan and Rita Carter; daughters, Melissa Eubanks, Jennifer Traywick (Frankie), and Tori Bateman; sisters, Cindy Cunningham (Ted), Wendy Strope (Shannon), and Tonya Eddings (Kevin); grandchildren, Brandi, Colton, Michael, Carter, Cason, Christopher, Hunter, Channing, Cash, Kinsley, and Cali; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 13, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home.  The funeral service is 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, at Phillips Funeral Home with Larry McFadden officiating.  Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.

Lance Bailey, Alex Miles, Derek Hayes, Blake Tyler, Brad Hayes, and Frankie Traywick will serve as pallbearers.  Connor Perrin, Cameron Perrin, and Garrett Miles will serve as honorary pallbearers.

If one wishes to make a memorial, Mitzi would be honored by contributions to the Children's Homes in honor of Hayden and Nora Carter or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
