Lena Rose Bien, 93 of Paragould passed July 16, 2012. She was born July 9, 1919 in Halliday, Ark. to John A. and Bertha A. Fahr. She was a retired teacher from the Memphis City School System and a faithful member of Rosewood Baptist Church.Preceding her in death were her parents and husband, Howard E. Bien.She is survived by two sons, Harvey D. Bien of Salinas, Calf. and Glenn E.(Patricia) Bien of Trumann; a daughter, Carolyn B. (Clint) Powell of Memphis, Tenn.; one sister, Eva L. Stinson; four grandchildren, Emily and Nathan Bien and David and Jason Powell.Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, July 19, 2012 in the Center Hill Chapel at Phillips Funeral Home with Heath Vines officiating. Visitation will be 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service. The family requests lasting memorials be made to Rosewood Baptist Church.
