Leon Eagan of Paragould passed from this life Thursday, August 30, 2012 at Belle Meade Nursing Home. He was retired from White Printing with 14 years of service, a member of Brown's Chapel, and a 22 ½ year kidney transplant survivor. He was born May 26, 1934 in Neelyville, MO to the late Earl Eugene and Clara Mae EaganPreceding him in death were his parents; one sister, Earlene Podulka; one grandson, Landon Perkins.Survivors include his wife, Betty Eagan; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Linda Eagan; daughter Sheri Davis; daughter and son-in-law, Daphne and Robert Perkins; one sister, Murriel Hester; 6 grandchildren, Derick and Candice Burkheart, Marcus Eagan, Wesley, Jacob and Nikkolette Perkins; three great-grandchildren, Veronica and Valerie Burkheart, Hannah Eagan; one step-great-grand daughter, Aiden Hensley.Graveside Services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 2, 2012 at Greene County Memorial Gardens with Royce Boling officiating.Pallbearers will be the grandsons, Don Fortenberry, and Royce Burkheart.Lasting Memorials can be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
