Lisa Gipson Holder, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on June 17, 2023, at the age of 61 in Paragould, Arkansas. She was born on July 28, 1961, in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Jim and Linda Gipson, who preceded her in death.
Lisa is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Holder of the home, and their three children: Rachel (Jason) Boyd of Paragould, Zachary (Katie) Holder of Greenville, North Carolina, and Patrick Holder of the home. She was a proud grandmother to Grady and Cruz Boyd. Lisa is also survived by her siblings Heath Gipson of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, Jason Gipson of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Joette Phillips of Lauratown, Arkansas, and Anna Watkins of Austin, Texas. She was preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Gipson.
Lisa earned a Master's degree in social work and dedicated her professional life to helping children. She retired from Paragould Primary School, where she worked tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of her students. Lisa's colleagues and students will remember her for her kindness, empathy, and genuine concern for the well-being of those around her.
In her personal life, Lisa was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished spending time with her family. She was a pillar of strength and support for those who loved her, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Lisa had a passion for working with children and animals. She was a compassionate and caring individual who always put the needs of others before her own. Her love for animals was evident in the many pets she cared for throughout her life.
Lisa was an avid reader who enjoyed exploring new worlds through literature. She was a skilled cook who delighted her family and friends with her culinary creations. Lisa's talents in the kitchen were always a highlight at family gatherings and holidays.
Lisa's memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and the countless lives she touched throughout her life. She will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, her dedication to helping others, and her love for her family.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 23, from 12:30 p.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Tim Dowler officiating. Burial will follow at Lawrence Memorial Park in Walnut Ridge.
If one wishes to make a memorial, Lisa would be honored with contributions to Something Pawsitive Cat Café or Ozzie's Legacy.
