Lonnie Ray Elmore, a devoted family man and respected retiree of Emerson Electric, passed away on May 11, 2026, in Paragould, Arkansas. Born on May 8, 1947, in Alexander, Arkansas, Lonnie lived a life marked by dedication both to his work and to the joy found in everyday moments. He attended Finch Baptist Church.
Throughout his career, Lonnie was a valued employee at Emerson Electric, where he committed himself fully until retirement. Beyond his professional accomplishments, he found great pleasure in simple, hands-on activities. Known for his love of working outdoors, he often spent time on small projects such as fixing lawn mowers. His mornings were a cherished ritual of visiting Burger King for coffee and an opportunity to catch up on the day’s conversations. Flea markets were another joy, looking for unique finds, including his notable collection of knives.
Family was at the heart of Lonnie’s life. He took immense pride and found deep happiness in his children and grandchildren, valuing the time spent together above all else. Particularly special to him were the moments shared at the lake.
Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Mary Elmore; wife, Joan Elmore; and brother, Billy Joe Elmore.
