Lowanda Lee Coleman, 79, of Paragould, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022. She was born at home in Paragould, on January 3, 1943, to Jimmy and Violet Carter. Lowanda loved the Lord and was His faithful servant. She was a member of Trinity Full Gospel Church and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Lowanda was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Osco Coleman; brother, Johnny Carter; her stepson; and her stepdaughter.
Survivors include the father of her children, Larry Lenderman of Colt, AR; son, Barry Lenderman of Brandenburg, KY; daughter, Pamela Smith of Paragould; stepdaughters, Janet Edgin (Brent) of Evening Shade, AR, Louella Place (Mike) of Sharon, TN; sister, Sharon Hill (Bud) of Gainesville, AR; grandchildren, Christopher Smith (April), of Elaine, AR, Cody Smith (Sarah) of Jonesboro, Hailey Lenderman of Brandenburg, KY; great-grandchildren, Cyser Smith of Elaine, AR, Hallie Smith of Jonesboro; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; two nieces; one nephew; one great-niece; and a host of family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 15, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, February 16, at 9:30 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Bro. Dwayne Reeves and Bro. Marlin Ray officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.
Christopher Smith, Cody Smith, Larry Lenderman, Tommy Lenderman, Shane Carter, and Carl McKinney will serve as pallbearers.
Lasting memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude, or HopeCircle at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital.
