Loyd William Wood, 90 of Paragould, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022. He was born November 22, 1931, to Claude and Jewel Wood. Loyd was a 32nd Degree Mason and Shriner. He was a Marine Corps Veteran that served in Korea and was awarded the Purple Heart. He worked until retiring at Tank and Tower Erector and was a member of Clark's Chapel Baptist Church.
Loyd was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia Lois Wood; son, Roscoe Wood; and daughter, Patricia June Jackson.
Survivors include his son, Ronnie William Wood (Cyndi) of Paragould; daughter-in-law, Melba Wood; sister, Melba Bennett; grandchildren, Buck Wood, Lisa Golden, Rachel Martin, Garrett Wood; great-grandchildren, Cody Wood, Laramie Golden, Brittany Beck, Lilly Martin, Luke Martin; and great-great-grandchildren, Joseph Wood and Will Beck.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 14, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. A procession will leave Phillips Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. for a graveside service at Finch Cemetery with Dennis Strope officiating.
Trent Frances, John Kennett, Garrett Wood, Buck Wood, Laramie Golden, and Todd Harris will serve as pallbearers.
