Lutgarda “Lucy” Thomas passed away on August 30, 2026, at the age of 83. She was born on December 24, 1942, in the Philippines.

Lucy will be remembered with affection by those whose lives she touched. She carried with her the warmth of friendship and the kind of presence that made others feel like family. Among those who cherish her memory are her friends who she saw as family, Erin Oliver, Dolores King, Nita Andrews, Clista Carroll, Marjorie Ivy, Rev. Randy Huddleston and his wife Linda Huddleston, the McDaniel family and her church family at the Apostolic Lighthouse Church. Also, among those who loved her dearly were her dogs, Brownie and Butterball.

Lucy was a proud US citizen after she gained her citizenship on November 16, 2012. She loved being around people and one way she found to do that was going out and enjoying great food at different restaurants. Lucy loved to work in her yard as well as play her tambourine in church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wesley Thomas, also known as Wes Thomas.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Lucy at a visitation on Thursday, September 3, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Lighthouse Apostolic Church, 3006 Linwood Drive, Paragould, Arkansas 72450. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Jason Adams officiating. Burial will be private.

Robert March, Jason McDaniel, Eric White, Chris Williams, Perry Ivy, and Micah Adams will serve as pallbearers.
