Marie Lumpkin, 84, of Paragould went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 17, 2015. She was born at Turner, AR on December 2, 1930 to the late William and Edith Hill. Marie enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting and painting. She taught many Bible classes. She was a member of Center Hill Church of Christ for 18 years. Preceding her in death were her parents; and brothers, Kenneth, Boyd and Joe Hill.Marie is survived by her husband, Walter C. Lumpkin of the home; daughters and sons in law, Brenda and Art Smith of Paragould and Gail and Chuck Hickman of Anchorage, AK; brother, Max Hill; sister, Joyce Garland; grandchildren, Tara Maag, Ashley Barr, Cade Smith, Matthew Hickman, Patrick Hickman, Anamarie Knapp, and Timothy Hickman; and 11 great grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 12:00p.m. to 2:00p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home on Monday, January 19, 2015. The funeral service will begin at 2:00p.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Art Smith and Michael Meredith officiating. Cade Smith will lead the song service. Burial will follow in Union Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Weston, Wayne Freer, Ed Jernigan, Sean Jernigan, Cade Smith, and Isaac Barr.Lasting memorials can be made to Crowley's Ridge Academy or Crowley's Ridge College, both of Paragould.
