Marilyn Annette Hopkins, 74, of Paragould, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017. She was born April 17, 1943, in Paragould, to the late Donald C. Herren and Carrie Louella Daughtry Herren. She was a 1962 graduate of Greene County Tech High School. She retired from Emerson Electric and was a member of East Side Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Kenny Herren; sister, Donna Herren Wells;and both paternal and maternal grandparents.

She is survived by her son, Donnie, and his wife,  Vickie Hopkins, of Olive Branch, MS and a daughter, Kellie Rogers, of Bentonville, AR; four grandchildren, Hunter and Tawny Rogers, of Springdale, AR and Joshua and Jacob Hopkins, of Olive Branch, MS; a sister-in-law, Margot Herren; a brother-in-law, Linwood Wells; and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, August 14th at Phillips Funeral Home in Paragould. There will be a brief viewing on Tuesday, August 15th at 10 a.m. with a procession at 10:45 a.m. to Linwood Cemetery for a graveside service beginning at 11:00 a.m.
