Marlene McDaniel, 81, of Paragould, passed away Monday, May 30, 2016. She was born August 3, 1934, in Stanford, Arkansas, to the late Marvin and Lela Towell.  Marlene was the branch manager of Security Bank, of Marmaduke, and was a member of Center Hill Church of Christ.  She had a great love for her family and friends.

Preceding Marlene in death were her parents and her sister, Jerry Towell.

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Major McDaniel; step sons, Mark and Darren McDaniel, of Paragould; daughter and son in law, Jeanna and Doug Bailey, of Memphis, TN; brother and sister in law, Duane and Faye Towell; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

The family will have a visitation Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at Phillips Funeral Home from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 2, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Michael Cox and Michael Meredith officiating.  Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Taylor Walker, Mark McDaniel, Will Routt, Darren McDaniel, Jay Valentine, and Lance Johns. George Robb will be an honorary pallbearer.

Lasting memorials may be made to the Children's Homes, of Paragould.
