Mary Ellen Foster, 77, of Paragould, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. She was born September 26, 1945, to James and Bessie Straver. Mary enjoyed traveling, sewing, and reading. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and visiting with her family. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bill Straver; and sister, Margaret Richards. Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Donald Foster; sons, Steven Foster (Kenni Rae) and David Foster; brothers, Thomas Straver and Jerry Straver; sister, Henrietta Forbus; grandchildren, Paige West (Brock), Jordan Foster, Madison Bynum (Tyler), Madison Rushing (Breck), Mason Brady (Tanner), Mary Foster; and eight great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 8, from 9:00 a.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Jody Faulkner officiating. The family will meet at 1:00 p.m. for interment at The Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Cherry Valley.
