Mary Ruth French, 85, passed away on Saturday, May 23, 2020. She was born October 28, 1934, to Bryan and Nettie Parker. Ruth worked until retiring from Senior Bees where she enjoyed delivering home meals to the senior citizens. She enjoyed fishing, was a talented quilter, and loved to crochet and knit. She was a wonderful cook and could decorate cakes so beautifully. Ruth was always there when you needed her and was an amazing mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lester Craig French; son, Gary Wayne French; and brothers, Walter Parker, Bill Parker, Mack Parker, and Bryan Parker, Jr.

Survivors include her sons and daughter in law, Darrell and Marsha French, Craig French; daughter, Ellen French; sister, Vesta Howard; grandchildren, John French, Sherry French, Ezekiel French, Patty French, T-J French, and Kaitlyn French; and great-grandchildren, Trina, Libby, Hayden, Dakota, Giovanni, and Mavis.

A graveside service under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home will be held on Wednesday, May 27, at 2:30 p.m. at Pine Knot Cemetery with Josh Dement officiating.
