Mary "Peggy" Lucille Hays, 91, of Paragould, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022.  She was born January 3, 1931, in Paragould, to Raymond and Kristina Faulkner.  Peggy loved her family and her church.  With her artistic talent, Peggy enjoyed painting and other crafts.  She collected dolls and tea pots.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Hays; and daughter, Khristie Hays.

Survivors include her son, James P. Hays; daughter, Tara Sage; brother, Rev. Wayne Faulkner; sister, Dorothy Manley; grandchildren, Jennifer Marcello, Kaitlyn Hays, Ethan Hays, and Lily Hays; and great-grandchildren, Christopher Marcello, Justin Marcello, and Taylor Marcello.

The family will receive friends Monday, October 31, from 2:00 p.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home.  The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Faulkner and Jody Faulkner officiating.  Burial will follow at New Friendship Cemetery.
