Mary Jean Lane, 94, of Paragould, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024. She was born December 7, 1929, to Raymond and Stella Brown. Mary was a very devoted wife and mother. She was an active member at St. Mary's Catholic Church, where she served on the Altar Society. She served on the hospital auxiliary at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center and retired from Sears after 20 years.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Herman Lane; daughter, Marcia Lane; and grandson, John Todd Lane.

Survivors include her sons, John Lane (Kathy), Kenny Lane; daughter, Pat Dacus (John); grandchildren, Brian Lane (Carmen), Kyle Lane (Melanie), Lindsey Locke (Andy), Kenny Lane, Jr., John Dacus III (Cristi), Joshua Dacus (Ashley), Jill Sloas (Michael), Farrah Ollis; and great-grandchildren, Chloe Lane, Harrison Lane, Jonah Lane, Piper Lane, Max Lane, Londyn Locke, Leighton Locke, Nicholas Lane, John Dacus IV, Sydney Dacus, Rileigh Dacus, Noah Dacus, Beckett Dacus, Zoe Sloas, Ben Sloas, Andrew Ollis, and Abby Ollis.

A Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. prior to the visitation at Phillips Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 5, from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Saturday, July 6, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Aby Abraham officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church or Westview Baptist Church.
