Matthew Dillen Ozment, born January 12,1999, in St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on August 12, 2026, in Marmaduke, Arkansas. Matthew's life was challenging from the start, but that never stopped him from showing love to his friends and family.

Matthew shared a deep bond with his beloved wife, Virginia Ozment. Their relationship was marked by love, respect, honor, and small cherished moments together. He loved to spend a quiet night with his wife and kids. He chose to step in and be a devoted father to Jess-Lee, Samuel and Chandler. He also left behind a daughter, Raleigh, of Michigan. He was survived by his siblings, Ray Oswalt, Samantha Wilson, Chris Ozment, Michelle Davis; and step brothers, Austin Pitman, Collin Koenig, Jim White, and Shawn Peroutka; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. All who loved and cherished him greatly.

Born to Wayne and Jeanette Ozment who preceded him in death. Matthew learned from an early age how to love strong, hard and without limitations because you never know what could happen. He was also preceded in death by his older sister Leanne Oswalt and his paternal grandparents.

Those who knew Matthew remember the absolute passion he had for things he loved. Whether it be his favorite TV show "The Walking Dead," fishing, swimming, and we can not forget his love for grilling the most delicious garlic steak bites. He loved to spend weekend nights having long memorable conversations with his brother, Ray. His days mostly consisted of hanging out with his goofy dog Poncho and spending time with his wife and boys. He spent every night watching a movie with his wife before they drifted to sleep signifying the partnership they led.

Friends and family are invited to honor Matthew's life at Phillips Funeral Home, located at 4904 W. Kingshighway, Paragould, AR 72450. Visitation will be held Friday, August 21, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The funeral service will follow after.
