Max Henry Ward, 85, passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023. He was born January 15, 1938, to Henry and Beatrice Ward. Max was a member of Village Creek Church of Christ. He enjoyed mowing the yard, fishing, traveling, making homemade tamales, and taking trips to Branson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Deloris Ward; and brother, Jimmy Ward.

Survivors include his wife, Joan Ward; children, Marty Ward, Sherry (Aven) Huffine, Mark Ward, Scott (Linda) Ward; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A graveside service under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home will be on Wednesday, April 26, at 11:00 a.m. at Liberty Cemetery with Sean Sullivan officiating.
