Melba Joyce Gonser, 83, of Paragould, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2019. She was born November 8, 1935, to Ervin and Claris Jackson. Melba was of Baptist faith and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing, camping and anything outdoors.

Melba was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ervie Gonser; daughter, Marilyn Easter; brother, Wayne Jackson; and grandchildren, Regina and Eric.

Survivors include her daughters and sons in law, Yvonnie and Sherman Bentrum, Barbara and William Childress, Cathy Carnell; sister, Ruby Nichols; grandchildren, Micheal, Missy, Jo, William, Larry, Jennifer, Alana, Eugene; fifteen great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 13, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Bro. John Abanathy officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.

Anthony Scoggin, Jeffrey Scoggin, Matthew Scoggin, and Joshuwa Scoggin will serve as pallbearers.
