Melvin Junior Loughary, 70, of Paragould passed away at Arkansas Methodist Hospital September 21, 2016. He was born February 2, 1946 in Gideon, MO to Claude and Pearl Loughary. He was a US Air Force veteran and a member and usher at New Covenant Worship Center.
Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Tony Burns; a daughter, Tammi Loughary Rankin; five brothers and four sisters.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Brenda Hibbard Loughary; two sons, David (Tammy) Loughary and Michael Loughary; one daughter, Chanda (Michael) Milligan; one brother, Elton Loughary; a sister, Gardenia Branscum; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and a host of family and friends.
The family will receive friends 10-11 am, Monday, September 26, 2016 at Phillips Funeral. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Dennis Bradley officiating. Burial will be at Calvin's Crossing in Alicia.
