Michael Wayne Gray, 65, passed away on September 26, 2026. He was born on August 5, 1961.

Michael devoted 40 years of his working life as a tool and dye machine operator at Manns Tool Specialty's, a career that reflected his steady commitment and strong work ethic. Outside of work, he loved playing pool and enjoyed flying remote control airplanes, pastimes that brought him happiness and reflected his spirited nature.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harold & Mary Gray; brother, Bobby Gray; sister, Patricia Hawkins; and his beloved dog, Festus.

Michael leaves behind a family who will cherish his memory. He is survived by his wife, Penny Gray; bonus-mother, Paulette Gray; his sons, Charles “C.J.” Jones (Alex) and Ryan Jones (Maddie); his brothers, Charles Gray (Ligaya) and James Gray (Shelly); his sister, Velina Crouch (Butch); his grandchildren, Charles Jones (Wade) and Ellie Harper Jones; and many nieces and nephews. May his memory live on in the lives of those who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Keith Defries officiating.
