Michael Wayne Reed passed away peacefully on July 14, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on April 22, 1949, to Charles and Mary Reed.

A devoted grandfather, Michael cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, instilling in them the same joy and kindness he carried in his heart. His love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for fishing, where he found tranquility and happiness by the water's edge.

Michael's social nature shone through in his enjoyment of eating out, where he relished both the food and the company. He was also a skilled pool player, delighting in the friendly competition and camaraderie around the pool table.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Tammy Reed; and brother-in-law, Junior Sharpe.

Survivors include his children, Annette Jones, Margie Mavin, Brian Reed (Becky), Dillon Whitworth, Tequila Price (Brian), Kim Smith (Dennis), Brandi Boakye (Albert), and Scott Smith; sister, Connie Sharpe; grandchildren, Ivy Jones, Maria Jones, Kaleb Reed, Chloe Reed, Jose Price (Arielle), Olivia Phillips (Sam), Heath Price (Jerica Breedlove), Shawn Price (Destiny), Aspyn Price, Zymra Price, Wake, Price, Michael Shelton, Zoey Shelton, Aceilyah Boakye, Byron Stull, Ashlynn Morris; and ten and counting great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 18, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will be on Friday, July 19, at 10:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Larry Bulla officiating. Burial will follow at New Friendship Cemetery.
