Michael William Sowards, 58, of Paragould passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015.  He was born July 29, 1956 at Huntington, WV to Ernest and Jean Sowards.  Michael had over 20 years of service at A.R.I.  He enjoyed golfing, fishing and deer hunting.  Michael was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Kathy Sowards, of the home; son, Aaron Michael  Sowards, of Rector, AR; daughter, Alexis Michaele Sowards, of Paragould; brothers, Jim and Ernie Sowards; sister, Brenda Crank; grandchildren, Paydon, Kaylea, Gibson, Madison, and Benson.

The family will receive friends from 1:00p.m. to 3:00p.m. Saturday, May 23, 2015, at Philips Funeral Home.
