Michael Glenn Turpin, 59, of Lafe, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center.

Mike was born January 17th, 1963, in Paragould, Arkansas.  He was an avid golfer and there wasn't much more that he would rather do than play golf with his friends.  His mind was sharp and wit was not in short supply when you were in his presence.  His son, Alex, was his best friend and many a father was envious of that father/son relationship (they were very close).  Mike had a tremendous work ethic and he possessed a personal philosophy of work…"If you are going to say you will do a job, you do it right, on time, and never give anyone an opportunity to lose faith in your workmanship."  He upheld that right to the end.  He was employed at Greenbrier Paragould where he was over quality control.  Everyone enjoyed seeing "Old School" at work and hearing his infectious laugh.  If you were to ask his coworkers they would tell you that he was an outstanding asset to the company but more importantly, an outstanding friend; one that would give you the shirt off his back.  He will be sorely missed.

Survivors include his sons, Alex Turpin and Gage Hill, as well as his daughter-in-law, Ajay Turpin of Paragould.  He is also survived by his brother, David Turpin of Paragould.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Turpin of Paragould and his father and mother, Glenn and Alice Turpin of Lafe.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, February 8, at Phillips Funeral Home in Paragould, Arkansas.  There will be a visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. and ending at 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place immediately after the visitation with Tom Hazelwood officiating. Burial will follow at Liberty Church of Christ Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kent Overshine, Kenny Brevard, Macon Lemons, Jerry Hodge, Jimmy Holland and Brett Broadway.
