Mordecai Ray Mothershed was born and passed away on November 2, 2026. He was treasured from the very beginning and held close in the hearts of all who loved him. Though his time here was brief, his life was deeply meaningful to his family, and his memory will be carried with tenderness and love.

He is survived by his loving parents, Jordan and Kaylee Mothershed; sister, Huxlee Mothershed; brother, Cecil Taylor; his grandparents, Joe and Christy Dickerson, Dawn Taylor, and Justin and Ashley Mothershed; and his great-grandparents, Charlie and Carolyn Johnson and Justina Northcutt. He is also lovingly remembered by his uncle and aunt, Joseph and Ally Mothershed, and by his aunts, Mylee Sargent, Kerstyn Yates, and Brooklynn Mothershed. Each of them holds a special place in the circle of family that welcomed Mordecai Ray with joy and will continue to cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Glenda and Wesley Taylor and Tom Sargent; his great-grandfather, Clifton Ray Northcutt; and his uncle, Calub Huckabee.

Family and friends will gather for visitation on Friday, November 6, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Derrick Followell. The burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.
