Morolon “M.W.” Wayne Ray, 82, of Paragould, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on April 25, 2026. He was born on August 12, 1943, in Knobel, Arkansas, to the late O’Dell and Helen Ray.
M.W. was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and faithful servant of God. He faithfully served as pastor of Trinity Full Gospel Church from 1987 until his passing. He spent many years ministering, guiding others in faith, and sharing the Word of God. His life was a reflection of dedication, humility, and service.
A hardworking man throughout his life, M.W. was a farmer and rancher who took great pride in his work and in providing for his family. He believed in staying busy and never shied away from hard work—no matter the task, he was always ready to lend a hand.
He had a deep love for music and found joy in playing the guitar. Above all, he loved attending church and serving the Lord, which remained the foundation of his life.
M.W. is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Gwendolyn Ray; his sons, Martin Ray, Major Ray (Michelle), and Charles Householder (Jeanie); and his daughter, Kim Wright (Steve).
He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Martin, Matthew, and Sarah Ray; Maddie Ray-Noblin (Braedan) and Chloe Ray; Josh (Elizabeth) Horton and Chad Horton; Charles (Sarah) Whitworth; Seth Householder; and Kelsey Householder.
He is further survived by his great-grandchildren: Mavric Hooks, Arya Horton-Walker, Riley Coy, Lauren Whitworth, Lyndsey Whitworth, and Lilly Householder, along with a host of family and friends who loved him dearly.
He is also survived by his sisters, Linda McKinney and Maria Newman. He was preceded in death by his parents, O’Dell Ray and Helen Ray; his brothers, Doyle Ray and Troy Ray; and his sisters, Patsy Ray, Lorene Milholen, and Mildred Lands.
Visitation will be held at Phillips Funeral Home on Friday, May 1, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be on Saturday, May 2, at 10:00 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Crane officiating. He will be laid to rest at Hosea Cemetery in Knobel, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Martin Ray, Braedan Noblin, Gary Huckabay, Max Scott, Colton Slayton, and Tim Quinn.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Wright, Josh Horton, Chad Horton, Scotty Fox, and Charles Householder.
M.W. will be remembered for his unwavering faith, his tireless work ethic, and the deep love he had for his family, church, and community. His legacy of faith, service, and strength will continue to live on in the lives of all who knew and loved him.
