Netta Nagerine Shatley Welch, 86, of Jonesboro, AR, departed this life for her heavenly home on Saturday, December 16, 2017, at her residence in Jonesboro. She was born March 2, 1931, in Cardwell, MO. Netta's most treasured moment was spending time with family and friends. She made as many trips to Florida as possible to visit her family, as well as to shop at her favorite place, Bealls Outlet, always looking for a great deal. Although she will be missed here on this Earth by her loving family, they know they will see her again along with all the others that have gone before her. Netta and Ross had many friends, but James Miller has a special place in their hearts, to him, we say thank you.

Preceding her in death was her husband of 32 years, Ross Welch; parents, Floyd Shatley and Estle Rogers; and stepfather, Cab Rogers; 5 siblings, Don Shatley, Willard Shatley, Darrell Shatley, Wynell Shatley, and Sandra Kay; and her beloved granddaughter, Kimberly Gaston Smith.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Alicia and Buck Markum of Paragould, Connie Bobo of Jonesboro, and Rhonda McCormack of Winter Haven, FL; sons and daughter-in-law, Tim and Robin McCormack of Paragould, Kerry A. Urbanek of Jonesboro; sisters, Melba Long of Jonesboro, Mary Johnson of Paragould, and Judy Perrin of Paragould; 8 grandchildren, Andrea Campbell, Kerry Russell, Greg Bobo, Jennifer McCormack, Jeff McCormack, Chad Azbill, Bryson Azbill, and Nicholas Welch; 12 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, from 12 p.m. until service time at Phillips Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. in the Center Hill Chapel of Phillips Funeral Home with Curtis Shatley officiating. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery.
